PEPS Leavenworth weekend

Here's our PEPS group at our now-annual Leavenworth cabin weekend. This is from the first weekend in January. Since I'm writing this post a month after the fact, the details of the trip are a little fuzzy.

There wasn't any snow, which was sad, because playing in the snow is one of the main points of spending a weekend in the mountains during winter. There was about a 1/2 inch thick layer of ice over every surface, though. Rather precarious. Fortunately, most of the families prepared for non-snow and brought bike helmets (with bikes and scooters). The helmets proved useful. We strapped them on the kids and let them play (and fall. often.) to their hearts' content.

We played lots of games, relaxed, kids ran around, played, fought, watched movies in the cabin's movie theater room, prepared and ate some great meals, the adults drank and did things only legal in Washington and Colorado, fell on the ice, etc. It was a nice time. I love this group of friends and am thankful we have them in our lives.
