Snow Day

It's been snowing on and off the past few days, with a big storm that didn't quite pan out* today. We at least got enough to play in/cancel school and have been fully taking advantage of the lovely white stuff.

We are fortunate to be 2 blocks away from a hill that's perfect for sledding when the streets are too snowy/icy to drive on. So about once a year or so, when we get a decent amount of snowfall, neighbors drag out the sleds and play off and on for as long as the snow lasts.

We are taking a little break this morning and will rejoin the festivities after some snacks and playtime at home.

* Thursday afternoon edit: I take it back. We got lots more snow, which then turned to an ice storm, and then a few more inches of snow on top of it and it's still lightly snowing. Day 3 of school snow closures, maybe day 4 tomorrow.
